Black Art In America Gallery & Sculpture Gardens

Founded in 2010 by artist, curator and entrepreneur Najee Dorsey, Black Art In America™ is a Black-owned gallery, cultural platform and arts enterprise dedicated to documenting, preserving and advancing the contributions of African American artists.

BAIA operates at the intersection of art, culture, commerce and education. Through museum-quality exhibitions, artist representation, fine art publishing, curatorial projects, art fairs, collector programming, institutional partnerships and an expansive media platform, BAIA creates meaningful pathways between artists, collectors, museums and the communities their work represents. The gallery presents established masters, important legacy artists, contemporary voices and emerging talent, placing historical works in conversation with the artists shaping the culture today.

What distinguishes Black Art In America is its commitment to building an entire ecosystem around Black visual art. BAIA does more than exhibit and sell artwork; it documents artists’ stories, invests in their careers, develops new collectors, supports scholarship, creates opportunities for public engagement and helps ensure that significant works enter important private and institutional collections. Revenue generated through art sales also supports BAIA’s broader work in publishing, education, exhibitions and cultural preservation.

From its Atlanta Gallery and Sculpture Garden to its national exhibitions, fairs and digital reach, Black Art In America offers collectors access to significant works across periods, mediums and price points. Every acquisition supports a larger mission: strengthening the market for Black artists, preserving cultural memory and ensuring that the history of African American art is not only recognized, but carried forward.
