Young, Diane Shannon (Hope Springs Forth)
"Only through art can stories be captured without words" - Diana Shannon Young

"My work transcends the familiar to the abstract thus provoking a dialogue .
Art is the way to embed a story in the conscience or soul of the viewer. In my practice, I seek to examine and celebrate the journeys of life , revealing the destiny of the intricate and hidden paths, creatively converged to convey unspoken stories.

Primarily self directed, I have an unapologetic preference, that my creativity be uninhibited, undefined and unrestricted by structured discipline. My destiny is to create . My faith keeps me on my journey of manifestation. The evolution of my journey assures me that my work is on a ubiquitous path."

An Entrepreneur at heart she has owned several galleries furthering her knowledge of fine art as a collector all the while honing her artistic techniques through continued education with workshops, tutorials with accomplished artists and observation of the works of the masters, thus inspiring her unique style.

Her Figurative paintings imbue spirit, struggle, inspirations and dreams . However, it is texture and color that intrigues her most. The use of varied mediums to create texture and occasional use of fabric, photos or periodicals to create nostalgia or implications in her figurative work can be educational and intriguing.
Her non-figurative abstracts and florals dance with texture and soft vibrant hues often morphing from the familiar to the abstract.
