We are proud to announce that Najee Dorsey recently joined the campaign to support Crown and Gowns Project: Empowering Black Girls. " I was inspired by the vision and wanted to find a unique way for me to be involved so I created a new work of art I call Duel of Duality". - Najee

Najee Dorsey, Artist, Collector, CEO / Founder of Black Art In America™ (BAIA) is a nationally recognized artist. His works of art graced the walls in five museum shows for 2014, including his first major solo exhibition at the Columbus Museum, Georgia, entitled: Leaving Mississippi: Reflections on Heroes and Folklore. This show is currently touring the country for 2015.

Images and words have power, how we see ourselves and how we speak about beauty can be as harmful as any lethal weapon. Maya Angelou once said, “Words are things. You must be careful, some day we’ll be able to measure the power of words. I think they are things. They get on the walls. They get in your wallpaper. They get in your rugs, in your upholstery, and your clothes, and finally in to you.”
"Duel of Duality", created by Najee Dorsey, is about a conflict that lives within community and within ourselves.

Help us challenge how black and brown girls see the beauty that lies within themselves by supporting this campaign. By purchasing this signed limited-edition print proceeds from the sell will support Crown and Gowns Project: Empowering Black Girls
